portfolio management. MCM Capital Partners, located in Bethesda,
Maryland, is one of the leading whole loan investors in the United
States.
In addition to his professional responsibilities at MCM Capital Partners, Steve Trowern is involved in several charitable efforts. He is a member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association and a founding member of the 1601 Fund, a tuition scholarship fund benefiting students from disadvantaged areas around Detroit who are enrolled at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He serves as a member of the Executive Committee at The Hope for Gus Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising money for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is a member of the Steering Committee at New Endeavors by Women, an organization that helps women leave abusive relationships, escape homelessness, and take control of their lives. Additionally, Steven Trowern is an active supporter of the Times Square Church, which contributes to disaster relief in Japan and Haiti. Steven Trowern completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Trade and Finance and studying abroad at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain as an exchange student. He later attended the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, earning a Master of Management. Steve Trowern also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Universidad Catolica in Santiago, Chile. Steven Trowern's hobbies include soccer, sailing, traveling, and spending time with his wife Marcella, a senior executive with Kaiser Permanente, and three children. In addition, he is a contributor to the FrumForum, a website that discusses political issues.
